I didn’t get a strip up on Monday because I got hit with a big ol’ headache on Sunday afternoon. So… how’s about a full page on Tuesday, followed by another full page on Friday?
That really works better for me because I want to get through this current scene. It’s difficult enough without having to drag it out with a frequency of a page a week…
@JPL: I guess it’s time for Alex to atone for the murder he committed? A even darker thought just crossed my little mind: If you had really wanted to “ratchet up” the consequences angle, you could have had Alex kill (although it would have been an act of mercy either way) Siverin with his bare hands…
@JPL: John, I have a request of my own. Is it absolutely necessary to show Alex plunging the sword into Severin? Could you possibly imply, rather than explicitly show that act? It might make for an excellent character piece for Alex later on…how he felt…about what he had to do…
I’ve been thinking about how to stage that scene since I realized it was going to be necessary. Given the amount of blood that’s been she’d in this story, I’ leaning more toward the Hitchcock model… you never see the knife stab Janet Leigh in Psycho… Besides, the Theater of the Mind will render images far more graphic thanthing my meager art skills will allow!
