Accidental News

  • Tue, Sep 7, 2010No news is good news

I really don't have any news... I just wanted to get that creepy robot picture to drop off the page...

Actually, there is something that I'll be announcing in a bit...
  • Wed, Aug 18, 2010Duel in the Somme

This is something I've known about for several months, but couldn't say anything about. However, now that's it released, why not jump over to A Duel in the Somme and start reading? Why should you?

Rob Balder. Bill Holbrook. Ben Bova.

    Need I say more?

This is a comic adaptation by Rob Balder of a short story by science fiction legend Ben Bova. It's Bova's first foray into webcomics—a story about a romantic triangle at computer company. This is also Bill's first jump into long-form comics since he did the [i}Kevin & Kell[/i] "pilot episode", "Origin of the Species" almost 10 years ago.

The webcomic site went up today, so go give it a look (after you read Accidental Centaurs, of course!)
  • Tue, Aug 3, 2010This has been sitting on my desktop for a while...

I've been meaning to post this drawing of Sam, done by Evil. Inc.'s Brad Guigar, which he did for me at Heroescon in Charlotte earlier this summer. Brad is not only one of the nicest people in webcomics, he also has the best laugh of anyone in comics... on or off the web!

  • One differences between this incarnation of Accidental Centaurs and the original is that Alex and Sam aren't in a relationship when they arrive in otherSpace.

Actually, now that I think about it, they are in a relationship... an antagonistic one. To say they hate each other is to put it mildly (as we'll see as things progress). I did this so that they will have room to grow as characters and we can watch the relationship between them begin, grow and blossom. I think this will be more interesting from a storytelling point of view.
