Mushroom? well as exclamations go. its funny and nice play on words. but getting stung in the butt with a stinger the size of jack hammer. oh year. it gonna hurt.

Oooops….John, a minor correction is needed in Panel 2. That should be: “I don’t want TO continue…but…I…I can’t stop myself!”

Think about it. At that point Sam is either very tired of exhausted. it’s a wonder she can even think strait.

Ahem…Rau’s Rule of Editing #1: “Any grammatical error, no matter how small, that distracts the reader/viewer and breaks ‘the suspension of disbelief’ is evil and must be destroyed!”

Now, stylistically speaking, if we wanted Sam’s dialog to be consistent and reflect her exhaustion/confusion, then the use of the ellipses (…) would do very nicely: “I don’t want … continue…but… I…I can’t stop myself!”

Ironically, it just happened to be on the TV tonight (though I likely would have recognized it anyway) so I’m gonna guess … Jeff Goldblum’s line from Independence Day as they’re haulin’ tail out of the mothership (from an almost bug-like species, no less)?

Ooops, nevermind – the reference in the TITLE – hm, I must need more coffee. For some reason I thought you meant the one in panel 5, heh.

Actually, the original line from Goldblum came from “Jurassic Park” as they’re being chased in the Jeep by the T. rex… The “Independence Day” quote was a callback to that…
